FOR APPRENTICES THAT ENTER THEIR OJT HOURS
From your Dashboard in Flashpoint:
- Click My Education > Work Reports > then click Enter New Report.
- Select the correct month (“period”) / year. The days of the month are then listed, as well as the work categories (Click on Show category descriptions, for an explanation of categories).
- Enter the number of hours worked in each box for the correct day and work category. Each month should have a variety of categories used. Do not report on the job training hours for holidays not worked or vacation dates.
- You can log hours daily, weekly or monthly and just hit Save Report until the month is complete. If you wish to review the month again, or make changes before submitting the hours, just click Edit Hours on the top right of the page when you sign in again.
- Once you click Save at the bottom of the page and then Submit for a month (“period”) at the top right of the page, the hours for that month can no longer be edited and an email will go to the education contact at your company for review and approval or rejection. You will also receive an email confirming this action.
- After the education contact approves the apprentice’s hours, you will receive an email letting you know the hours have been approved.
- Hours submitted by an apprentice must be approved by the education contact within 30 days. If you do not receive an email confirming approval or rejection within 5 days of submitting hours to your employer, we recommend contacting your company education contact to complete the process.
- All OJT hours must be submitted by an apprentice within the original 90 days of the work being completed.
- Should your employer reject the hours submitted (usually due to entering dates you did not actually work on the job, like a holiday or vacation, etc.), you will be sent an email. The rejected month can then be edited and resubmitted by the apprentice within the original 90 days allowed.

Once 17 hours of class are missed, the apprentice will no longer be in the current program and an email will be sent to advise the employer.
